WHAT IS ADDICTION?
The term “ADDICTION” describes a compulsive behavior that harms the person and those around them, over which the person has lost control.
An example is regular alcohol consumption, despite the negative impact on family and career. An addict may deny that there is a problem and say that he or she is “just having fun”.
The definition of addiction has historically been applied to substances such as alcohol, tobacco and drug addiction; however, some researchers believe that the definition of addiction can also be applied to behaviors such as sex and shopping.
When asked “WHAT IS ADDICTION”, we use the following definition of addiction. "Addiction is a chronic disorder that underlies the reward, motivation, memory, and related circuits of the brain. It is manifested by a person's use of substances or other behaviors for reward and/or relaxation.
Addiction is characterized by a loss of behavioral control, craving, persistent inability to abstain, and reduced recognition of significant behavioral and interpersonal problems..." According to this definition of addiction, any substance, legal or illegal, that an addict finds pleasurable. behavior. can be addictive.
Addiction is considered a mental illness and can be treated like any other mental illness through therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes.
Thus, through spiritual hypnosis, one can separate the body from the addiction and return it to a healthy and normal life. This has the potential to bring peace and happiness to the person's health and the lives of their family and colleagues. Our goal is to bring this treatment to the public.
Of course, for people who have tired their body by becoming addicted to various substances for a certain period of time, or to habits that have settled in the person's subconscious, depending on each addiction, we carry out a comprehensive treatment starting with at least 10 sessions.
TYPES OF ADDICTION
Addictions range from everyday drugs such as alcohol and cocaine to behaviors such as gambling and stealing. Some types of addictions are listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders “DSM-5”, while others are more controversial and are defined by some addiction specialists. “DSM-5” the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, is a taxonomy and diagnostic tool published by the American Psychiatric Association.
The types of addiction observed in drug use are defined in the DSM-5, but the terms drug abuse and drug dependence are used. Neither is directly equivalent to addiction, but refers to the harmful use of substances.
Addiction is both psychological and behavioral. Symptoms include cravings and compulsions to use drugs, the inability to stop using drugs, and lifestyle changes due to drug use. A behavioral addiction is an addiction that does not involve a substance. This type of addiction can be an impulse control disorder or an addiction as defined by an addiction specialist. Behavioral addictions outside of the DSM-5 are controversial and many believe they do not meet the requirements to be an official addiction.
