Teachings of the Nomtiin Tengri Demch School — Lesson 1

Your Flesh Body and Spirit Body surrounded by your Light Sphere

Editor's note: This is the first in a series of twelve lessons delivered by Master Shaman Bayasgalan Sodnomtseren at the Nomtiin Tengri Demch School or the Academy Under the Heaven of Wisdom. The lessons are transcribed from live teaching sessions and translated faithfully from Mongolian. Dialogue between the Elder and students is preserved as spoken.

Curriculum of the Nomtiin Tengri Demch School

This series of twelve lessons covers the following themes:

Lesson 1 — The Physical Body and the Soul Body

Children, those who have seen — speak clearly of what you have seen. Those who have felt — speak clearly of what you have felt.

Now, children, first settle yourselves and sit calmly. Clear your thoughts and mind. Close your physical eyes and focus once more. Children, did any of you see colour appear in your inner vision? What you saw is the inner quality of your own physical body. Contemplate the words that have just been spoken — what colour is the golden sun? Perceive it again. Do you see colour once more, children?

The colour and form you just saw is your own light sphere. Children, you first saw your own inner fire. Then you saw your own physical body. Now look at your own soul body.

Student — It appeared like the deity Saraswati sitting in lotus posture. Is that correct, Elder?

This Elder — Yes, that is correct, child.

The soul appears as a shimmering presence. When it grows stronger, it becomes possible to see even down to every cell within it. Do you understand now?

Children, you have each seen your own inner fire, the colour of your physical body, and the colour of your own soul. This Elder showed you this because you must first come to know your own physical body — whatever work you perform, whatever you do. To do this, you must first be able to see your inner fire and your physical body.

When a person's inner fire begins to dim, people commonly say that their radiance, dignity and life power have collapsed. When the inner fire dims and its colour darkens — growing ever darker — children, you must strengthen your inner fire. The inner fire is the vital essence of the soul within the physical body. If the colour of your physical body becomes invisible or begins to darken, it means impurity and defilement are taking hold within.

Student — I saw alternating black and white colours.

This Elder — That is different for my child. Seeing black and white woven together is not a sign of something dark attaching — the colour simply varies depending on your actions.

Children, sit in focused attention and regularly check your physical body. Check the state of your inner fire — has its colour darkened? Has its intensity diminished? If something dark and harmful settles upon a person's physical body — if they are subjected to attack, dark arrows or pursuits — the colours of the physical body will shift and change. As you grow stronger and continue to fulfil your work, the colour will become ever more radiant.

Did you notice the size of the colour you saw, children? It is meant to grow larger and larger. Then, children, you saw the colour of your soul. The human soul holds and sustains the wisdom aspect of the dual body of the logical and intuitive. To develop the wisdom aspect is to gather the power and capacity of your soul, to expand your mind, and to fulfil your work.

Children, if your physical body feels hollow and empty — a vague sense of something loosely adrift within — you need to look at the colour of your soul. In ancient times, This Elder and the elders always checked all of these things first — during war, in ordinary times, even while performing one's work.

Student — Since meeting you, I have felt as though I have been floating upward for two days.

This Elder — The soul body has its own capacity and its own energy. It is growing. A person can transform their physical body — make it large or small. You saw that, my child.

Travelling the Invisible Realm

Now let us move to the next teaching — how a person travels through the invisible realm.

Children, take each other's hands. Those at the ends, place one hand on your knee with the palm facing upward. Contemplate carefully everything you see, witness and feel.

(A moment passed.)

This Elder — Children, did you see and feel? Where did those in the first row travel?

Student — Looking upward, I saw a white elephant.

Student — I saw round forms with dark rays within, like rain falling. Then I saw a great many horses galloping.

Student — I saw the dust from the hooves of very fast horses.

Student — I saw the stars and constellations from below.

This is exactly what it looks like when you leave Mother Earth and look upward. The reason so many deities and the thunder of so many horses appeared is that on every star there are elders, deities, guardian spirits and sacred presences. You observed and perceived all of that.

After a person is cleansed, their energy must be strengthened. After battle, after performing invisible work — always cleanse your physical body. Children, check whether your body feels lighter or cold. Even while performing your everyday work, attend to your physical body.

Your body has both its logical and intuitive aspects — they work together at all times, without pause. And yet the work of the invisible realm is also unfolding simultaneously. When you children connect with your heaven, you are not only performing heavenly work — even while fulfilling the work of this golden earth, you do not vanish from the heavenly realm. You are simultaneously performing heavenly work as well.

When the body shakes and trembles, it means the physical body is entering the vibrational frequency of energy arriving from the invisible realm. That energy moves through the children. The chin lifts upward, held straight — you sit with greater dignity. This is how guardian spirits, deities and ancestral elders train, teach and prepare their children.

Children, you would be astonished if you could see the queens who dwell in heaven — they are even teaching their children how to sit. Everything begins with how one sits. Wherever you go, check whether the colour of your physical body and soul body has become more luminous than before — or whether it has darkened.

Coming to Know the Soul

The reason This Elder took you on this journey is that to come to know your subtle perception and your invisible work, you sometimes need to travel. The reason This Elder led you in four different directions is to help you feel the energies that were lacking in each of you — and the things you needed to perceive.

Know this, children — a person always has an inner fire, their physical body always has energy, and their soul always has colour. Settle your physical body as freely and comfortably as possible. Clear your thoughts and mind, then look.

The soul body has the capacity to transform and to gather energy. Depending on each action performed, the soul body can transform.

Having arrived in human existence — how does one fully restore the knowledge of the soul? Children, to come to know the information of your soul, you must first prepare your own physical body. The vast energy and information of your soul dwells within the force of invisible power. You must first connect with your soul. Having connected, you must learn to receive its full information and to speak with it. Then you must bring the energy frequency of your soul body into exact alignment with your physical body.

To know your soul body, you must first know your physical body — where each cell is, what role it plays, what its purpose is. A person has a heart. Children, you must come to know what this heart does — and in knowing it, connect it to its invisible dimension. Having come to know your physical body, you must then learn to connect with your soul body through your mind and thought.

A person has five senses. Come to know your soul sequentially through those five senses. Only then will you children learn to receive the vast information held within your soul. Everything you have learned in this earthly existence will be of use. There is no such thing as excess knowledge.

The knowledge, numbers and all things that you children have learned in your earthly lives are held in heaven. One soul of every person dwells in heaven, and all information gathers within that soul. When you children ascend to this heaven, you must already know about the invisible realm. In this earthly world, it is sufficient to have come to know your own physical body.

The next thing to come to know is your future form — when you leave this world and are reborn, you must have come to know and studied that form. If you are to become an ancestor spirit or guardian spirit, it means you — the shaman — must come to know your next host body.

To know Mother Earth is not something that ends with: "This is what a tree looks like." Rather, it means knowing: why does it produce this pattern? Why does this thing grow from the tree? What is a tree — knowing each thing one by one. Yet for this, the intellectual knowledge and lifespan of you children will not be sufficient. That is why This Elder and the elders have been trying to teach you the invisible things in a short time.

The golden sun transforms with ten thousand rays. May you become strong enough to ask — why has this, which is transforming, transformed in this way? — that is what This Elder and the elders wish.

In teaching you children the lessons, the aim is not to withhold — it is to awaken your minds and develop your memory. When the human brain is awakened, the logical brain and the intuitive brain that connect with the invisible realm both open together. When both are opened, you children can do everything.

The Logical Brain and the Intuitive Brain

The physical body is relatively stable. The soul body is very fast. You must connect with and guide that fast-moving, unstable soul through your mind and thought. A person's soul energy is constantly transforming.

There is what is called the navel cord — the connection through which a person connects with their soul through mind and thought. You must connect with your soul through that navel cord. Children, you will come to know about these connections in the lessons ahead.

The reason This Elder concludes today is that the capacity of each of you to receive the energy of subtle perception is different — and so This Elder is calibrating to your level. If it were possible to teach more, This Elder would gladly do so. But your physical bodies are beginning to lose the ability to sustain the energy frequency needed to connect with the soul body.

The human brain is capable of doing many things at once. My children need to learn to activate both brains simultaneously — the logical brain and the intuitive brain not in alternation, but together, at the same time. In other words: even while fulfilling your earthly duties, remain connected to the invisible things. In your modern language, this is brain training.

The Soul's Composition - Soul Healing

If a person's physical body loses its soul, it becomes ill. Their work ceases to be fulfilled, they can no longer do what they once did, and many things begin to unfold.

Each of you children has a different soul composition. You must come to know every part of that composition in full. Children, you each have five souls — some children have seven or more. Come to know all of them.

In the physical body of the children, there is something called an energy pore. And within every cell — down to the red nucleus within it — there are invisible things. Even the membrane within the cell serves as a connection point to the invisible realm. If even something this small is connected to the invisible realm, would not the entire physical body and form be connected, child?

The awareness of some of you children is currently closed. The subtle perception of others has not yet developed enough to grow. It is only by awakening every cell that awareness can be fully restored, opened, and able to connect with the invisible realm.

Children, you must first develop your subtle perception. By enhancing your perception, you can enter into energetic exchange with the sun, the moon, the sky, the stars and constellations, the soil and earth, and all the hot rocks and embers that lie beneath the earth. By bringing together the connections of these three things, you can open everything that has been ailing, stuck and blocked.

While walking, gather the energy you are meant to receive from the earth beneath your feet. This Elder makes the shamans walk through snow in the depths of winter — to awaken the immunity and to restore the energy to be received from the earth and snow. Cold water awakens the physical body, startles it and keeps it vital.

This Elder intended to teach just one thing to you children today — that even though you may seem cast from the same mould, as if born from the same womb, you are each different. Even while travelling in the same line, each of you sees the same thing from a different angle. So, children — even having received this sacred blessing, even having fulfilled that work — you must integrate your own unique qualities into how you do it.

Closing Blessing

May the great works of learning be abundant.

May this very physical body remain healthy.

May all works to be done be accomplished with ease.

May you leave your mark wherever you go, children.

Master Shaman Bayasgalan Sodnomtseren

Master Shaman Bayasgalan Sodnomtseren is the founder of Khokh Tormos — the 17th establishment of the ancient Mongolian shamanic school on Earth — and its international arm, Tenger Academy.
